U.S. Bicycle Route System | Build it. Bike it. Be a part of it.
While cruising Facebook, more specifically Causes on Facebook, I stumbled upon what I think to be not only an amazing cause, but a damn good idea also.
U.S. Bicycle Route System is a partnership of dozens of state and federal agencies, nonprofits, volunteers, and the U.S. Congress working alongside Adventure Cycling Association to create an Official U.S. Bike Route System, connecting America's urban, suburban, and rural areas.
As someone who enjoys biking, I choose to ride one over the car often, I find this to be an awesome idea and I honestly cant wait. Not only does it promote fitness and exercise but it's also a very green way to travel. Even if it's only a leisure ride with friends or family.
